September Goodness

Here's some pictures of what we have been up to lately! I'm not very good at documenting our lives through words, but I love taking pictures, which I believe a picture says a lot about itself anyway! Our lives have changed and I'm just now getting settled in with our new schedules! Annabelle goes to preschool now, on the first day we asked her what she learned and she said, "Everything!" She must have an amazing teacher right!? Her teacher said Annabelle is a good leader and the other children love to be with her and be her partner. I think she has a charismatic trait that draws other children to her. She has an incredible imagination and creates all sorts of stories. She even tells the other kids what to say, haha which is a little bossy, but that's ok. Lily has been really excited to do gymnastics since Annabelle goes to school. They both say they miss each other, but I think it's good for them, there are less fights in our home right now :). Charlotte is getting so big, 3 months old and smiling a lot. Her older sisters like to get in her face and scream baby noises, so I don't blame the poor girl for being a little sensitive to things. She does get scared sometimes. I started school through BYU-I's pathway program. I go to school once a week in the evening and do an online class. That will be my life for the next year, then I will continue my degree online. Right now my goal is to get my associates. I want to be able to work with child protective services/ foster care/ placement of kids. I want my family to know I value education. It has been an adjustment of priorities, and really I probably shouldn't be up still since its 11pm, but it will be a blessing to do school. I've learned so much already and I'm excited to have a Book of Mormon class to enrich my testimony. Sometimes I feel like we need to be awakened with our testimony, and this class is doing that for me. Brock is loving his job working as an assistant controller for a farming company. He occasionally gets to go out in the fields, so he gets to be involved with what he loves which is farming. I was able to share Annabelle's adoption story tonight with a friend, and it made me want to send a shout out of gratitude! I am so grateful to her birth mother, what an honorable, selfless, beautiful woman! In a world today where women are so self involved, I am so humbled by the example her birth mother set. I love Annabelle so much, I know she was meant to be in our family. Heavenly Father sometimes has different ways for us to get to where we are than we would expect. As my brother on the right in the below picture said, "I just can't imagine our lives without her!" Thank you, thank you, thank you, we love you so much! With having a new baby has brought curiosity to my girls, they asked if they were in my belly. I told Annabelle she wasn't in my belly, but she was in her birth mother's belly. She looked confused, but over time she will understand. I try to always convey the love and sacrifice that was involved. I hope she will always know just how much love there is in this world and out of it for her.
